BTEC Professional Certificate in Healthcare and Assistive Technology - Level 4

Same high quality, less time away and even better value!

The highly rated BTEC in Healthcare and Assistive Technology course has received a good deal of highly positive feedback from a number of high profile companies in the industry such as BES, Handicare, Mangar, Totally Active, NRS, Mountway, Special Orthotic Services and Theraposture.

The course covers a host of topics including the principles of a holistic person-centred assessment, the physiology and anatomy of a well-functioning person and, of course, commonly occurring degenerative neurological and arthritic conditions, as well as infection control and standard precautions, to name a few.

It's clear that delegates find the course extremely useful. Handicare's UK Marketing Manager, Eddie Peacock, says "we think it's absolutely perfect for our industry… we've sent all of our people as it gives them an ideal grounding”.

Francesca Garman, Director of Personnel, Mangar International agrees. She says, ''We send all members of the sales management team as well as our customer care infield engineers on these courses. Theyhave beenexcellent and provide a thorough and professionally high standard of contribution towards our on-going sales training process”.

Although we know that the course can make a real difference, we also know that it isn't easy or sometimes practical to release team members for a number of days at a time and so, recognising that time is precious, we have tailored the course with that in mind and reduced the length of duration by a day, meaning that we can deliver a comprehensive and effective course, maintaining the high levels of quality information in just two days.

To ensure that delegates get as much from the course as possible, the programme now combines some pre-course reading and project work prior to attending the two days' on-site training.

The result, which we believe will be welcomed, is less time away from work and a lower cost. What's more, although we would strongly recommend that delegates use this opportunity to gain a recognised industry standard and personal qualification, we've also built in extra flexibility. Now delegates can choose to sit the BTEC examination or not – whichever they prefer.

There is also in-built flexibility when it comes to the accommodation too. Delegates can opt to stay the night at the hotel where the course is run and use the time to network with colleagues from the industry or make their own arrangements to stay elsewhere.

The next course dates are:

24 and 25 April: Banbury, Oxfordshire
16 and 17 May:Exeter, Devon
27 and 28 June: Knutsford, Cheshire.
