Course Objective 

To understand pressure ulcers: prevention and treatment.

Learning Outcomes

To understand pressure ulcer development, assessing risk and the principles of prevention.
To understand the categories and treatment of pressure ulcers and the application of pressure care equipment systems.

Who will benefit most?

Staff within commercial companies who manufacture or distribute pressure care products, involved in advising, assessing or selling products in this field.  This includes clinical and non-clinical sales advisors, customer services personnel, receptionists, technicians and senior management (new to the industry).  The course would be equally helpful to staff with a responsibility for caring for immobile patients be they in residential care homes or hospital settings.

  • Complex situations
  • The impact of pressure ulcers and the effects on a person's quality of life
