Mike Lord - President

Mike has 22 years' experience across the rehabilitation, mobility and stairlift sectors. Previously the Chief Executive of Minivator, and Chairman of the Mobility Access & Stairlifts Section until taking up his current BHTA role, he is now a Chairman of BHTA members Kirton Healthcare and Stiltz Lifts.

 

Alastair Maxwell - Chairman

Alastair Maxwell

Alastair has a wide and varied range of experience starting, running, merging and turning around healthcare companies and a firm background in sales and marketing.  He served as Chairman of the FAME (First Aid Medical Equipment) Section and believes in raising industry standards and encouraging growth and innovation on the market.  Alastair is Managing Director of First Aid Holdings, Crest Logistics, Crest Medical and Chairman of i2Training.

Andrew Barker

Andrew has a strong passion for our industry and says his vision is of a world where people working together create things that could not be achieved by individuals and where anything is possible if you are committed enough.  

Graham Collyer

Graham Collyer

Having operated at a senior level in companies ranging from SME to FTSE 250 and having worked within a number of healthcare trade associations (SDMA, ABHI, ESDREMA, SAMA, BHTA), Graham brings a wide knowledge of many of BHTA's section activities to the Board.  He currently represents BHTA on the Part IX Industry Drug Tariff Forum and Committee, of which he is Chair.  A past Chairman of BHTA, Graham is the Executive Chairman of Sumed International (UK) Ltd.

Tracey Lloyd - Director General

Tracey Lloyd

Tracey became Director General in March 2015, having joined the BHTA in 2012 as Commercial Director, bringing extensive experience of development in membership and trade bodies. Tracey has worked closely with the membership, events and education team to create and deliver profitable events, to build BHTA brand recognition, to identify new services for members and develop new income streams.

Kay Purnell

Kay Purnell

Kay's skill base is focussed on sales and marketing culminating in 7 years as General Manager for Trulife - manufacturing and marketing of assistive technology products and orthotic service to the NHS through a variety of roles, before taking on her current role at Chas A Blatchford & Sons Ltd.

Mike Sawers

Mike’s commercial work experience includes many years of operating in global healthcare corporations, Baxter Healthcare and Hollister Inc., at Senior and Director level with responsibility for Divisional, Country and European management. He also has experience, understanding and empathy for the value SMEs contribute to the healthcare industry. His Trade Association experience includes serving as Chairman of two sections in the BHTA, council membership and chairing various focused working groups.

Leyton Stevens

Leyton Stevens

With both SME and multinational experience (currently with BES Rehab Ltd), a proven track record in all spheres of management including operations, quality assurance, product development and sales support, established across a range of manufacturing sectors, Leyton's ambition on joining was to bring a fresh pair of eyes to the Board, someone who is vocal, proactive and has the ability to listen to others.
