BHTA response to Health (Tobacco, Nicotine etc. and Care) (Scotland) Bill

BHTA welcomes the Bill and supports the proposed duty of candour and the proposal to make wilful neglect or ill-treatment of patients a criminal offence.

Wheelchair Leadership Alliance at launch of charter

The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) has backed the Wheelchair Charter launched yesterday as part of the campaign to develop NHS wheelchair services. BHTA Director-General Tracey Lloyd attended the launch of the Charter which was drawn up by a team led by Baroness Tanni-Grey Thompson and which included BHTA Director of Public Affairs Ray Hodgkinson.

Speaking at NAEP's conference, BHTA's Director of Communications, Lord Rennard, addressed the subject of "Disability, Integration of Health & Social Care, the Care Act and the Better Care Fund:
